Is it permissible to pay the expiation for one who retracts his oath?

Answer:
He has a choice; if he wishes, he may pay it early, and if he wishes, he may delay it; based on the hadith:

Let him do what is better and then expiate for his oath

فليأت الذي هو خير ثم يكفر عن يمينه

It was narrated in several versions; if he wishes, he may pay it early, and if he wishes, he may delay it.
