Making the lawful forbidden necessitates the expiation of an oath

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The first question of fatwa number ( 11862 )
Q 1: If a man gives a certain need to another man and says, "This is forbidden to me by the sanctity of my mother," and this custom is widespread among us. I want an answer to that.
A 1: If a person declares something other than his wife to be forbidden, from among what is lawful for him, it does not become forbidden to him; rather, it is obligatory for him to pay the expiation of an oath; for al-Bukhari narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he said:
In the case of the forbidden, it is an oath that you expiate.في الحرام يمين تكفرها
.
And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and his Companions.
