Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
This Sudanese brother, who resides in Ha'il, asks: What are the foods that Allah has forbidden for Muslims? We ask you to provide information.

Answer:
He, Glorified and Exalted is He, explained this in His saying in Surat al-Ma'idah:
Prohibited to you are dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than Allah, and [those animals] killed by strangling or by a violent blow or by a head-long fall or by the goring of horns, and those from which a wild animal has eaten, except what you [are able to] slaughter [before its death], and those which are sacrificed on stone altarsحُرِّمَتْ عَلَيْكُمُ الْمَيْتَةُ وَالدَّمُ وَلَحْمُ الْخِنزِيرِ وَمَا أُهِلَّ لِغَيْرِ اللَّهِ بِهِ وَالْمُنْخَنِقَةُ وَالْمَوْقُوذَةُ وَالْمُتَرَدِّيَةُ وَالنَّطِيحَةُ وَمَا أَكَلَ السَّبُعُ إِلَّا مَا ذَكَّيْتُمْ وَمَا ذُبِحَ عَلَى النُّصُبِ
[al-Ma'idah:3]. This is what He, , explained: this is forbidden—carrion, pork, and blood that has been poured out, and what is slaughtered for other than Allah. What is slaughtered for idols, or for a Bedouin, or for al-Husayn, or for al-Shaykh 'Abd al-Qadir al-Jilani, or for so-and-so, or so-and-so, this becomes carrion and is forbidden, whenever it is slaughtered for other than Allah.
It includes the strangled animal, which is strangled until it dies by a rope or otherwise; the beaten animal, which is struck with a stick or stone until it dies; or the animal that falls from a mountain, called a "falling animal," which drops from a mountain or a high place and dies; and the gored animal, which is gored by its sister until it dies, gored by a cow, sheep, or goat until it dies. Likewise, what is eaten by a predator; if a predator kills it, it is carrion. And so on, anything that is known to be harmful to a person, that harms him, such as food containing poison that harms you; do not eat it, because it would then be impure, meaning it harms you if it contains poison.
Likewise, the flesh of forbidden predators, every predator with fangs, such as the dog, lion, tiger, wolf, and cat, are all forbidden. And so on, every bird of prey with talons, such as the eagle, the falcon, the hawk, and their like, which have talons with which they hunt.
The Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade that, every harmful thing that harms, such as the herb that intoxicates, khamr (intoxicants), smoke, and the deadly thing that harms or intoxicates, that removes reason; it is obligatory to leave it. Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good.
