The ruling on the imam taking a wage for leading the prayer in Ramadan

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
He says: I led a congregation in prayer in Ramadan, so is it permissible for me to take a wage from them in return for that? They insisted that I take that wage, and I said: This is an act by which I seek nearness to Allah, but they insisted. What is your opinion, Your Eminence? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
If you take it, there is nothing wrong with it, and if you leave it, there is nothing wrong with it. The matter is broad. If you leave it, it is better, as long as you do not intend anything by it. If you leave it, it is better, and if you take it, there is no blame on you, if Allah wills.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good.
