Guidance for merchants who exploit the needs of the poor

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
What is your advice to merchants, O Shaykh, so that they do not exploit the needs of the poor?

Answer:
My advice to merchants is to fear Allah, and not to sell goods unless they are in their possession, having taken ownership and possession of them. They should strive to be lenient and make things easy, and not be excessive in the price. They should show mercy to their needy brothers. We advise them to show mercy to those in need, and for the prices to be reasonable so that they do not harm their brothers; for they do not come to them except out of necessity. So the advice to merchants is that the profits should be light, taking into account the needs of their brothers. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
