The Ruling on Raising the Voice and Lowering the Voice in Night Prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Is night prayer recited quietly, or is it recited aloud?

Answer:
Night prayer is recited aloud; and if one recites it quietly, there is no harm. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited both quietly and aloud, as Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said. If he saw the benefit in reciting quietly, he recited quietly, and if he saw the benefit in reciting aloud, he recited aloud. Reciting aloud is better if it is easy to do so, and if reciting quietly makes his heart more humble, then there is no harm. Yes.
