Ruling on the postpartum woman and the menstruating woman reciting the Qur'an from memory

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Is it permissible for a menstruating woman to recite her daily portion of the Noble Qur'an?

Answer:
The correct view is that there is no blame on her for reciting verses from memory. She is not like the one in a state of major ritual impurity. The duration of major ritual impurity is short; one performs the full ritual bath immediately and it is over. Therefore, it is not permissible for the one in a state of major ritual impurity to recite the Qur'an. As for the menstruating woman and the postpartum woman, their durations are long. The scholars have differed on their case: whether they are to be treated like the one in a state of major ritual impurity, thereby being prohibited from reciting the Qur'an from memory, or not.
The correct view is that they are not to be treated like the one in a state of major ritual impurity, because they are not like him; the duration is long, and there is no authentic hadith prohibiting them from reciting. Therefore, they may recite from memory without the mushaf, and they may review the mushaf if the need arises, from behind a barrier, using gloves or the like when necessary. Yes.
