What is the method of the prayer for guidance in a decision?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : He says, what is the method of the prayer for guidance in a decision, and may Allah reward you with the best reward?

The Shaykh : The method of the prayer for guidance in a decision is that a person prays two units of prayer, and when he concludes the prayer, he supplicates with the well-known supplication:
O Allah, I seek Your guidance by Your knowledge, and I seek Your power by Your might, and I ask You of Your great bounty. Indeed, You know and I do not know, and You have power and I do not have power, and You are the Knower of the unseen. O Allah, if this matter—and he names it—is good for me in my religion, my worldly life, and the immediate and deferred aspects of my affairs, then decree it for me and make it easy for me. And if You know that it is evil for me in my religion, my worldly life, and the immediate and deferred aspects of my affairs, then turn it away from me and turn me away from it, and decree for me the good wherever it may be, and then make me content with it.
