The Obligation Toward Those Who Commit Sin and Deviate

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
In a long question, the summary is that she says: I would like to express in this message what I have been feeling these days, which is distress regarding the people around me; because of their much open sinfulness—as she says—and their lack of modesty, and their distance from the religion. I always ask myself: Are these the people I have known since a year ago, two years ago, since I was a child? And the answer is certainly: Yes. So why do I feel like a stranger among them, so that I do not like their behavior and their inclinations do not please me? That is because they do not please Allah and His Messenger? This is what I felt was the direct answer to my question. For this reason, I have distanced myself from my close relatives and friends. Is there a word you would be generous enough to give me to firm me on the path of truth, if Allah wills? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
Yes, yes. We advise you to be patient, to supplicate for them for success and guidance, and to advise them with good words and a good manner. The messengers (peace and blessings be upon them) were patient, and at their head is our Prophet and our Imam Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). He was wronged and saw of disbelief and open sinfulness what you have not seen, and he was patient with it. He was good to people, and he showed them mercy and compassion, despite their wronging him (peace and blessings be upon him). Allah the Mighty and Majestic said:
So be patient, [O Muhammad], as were those of determination among the messengers and do not be impatient for themفَاصْبِرْ كَمَا صَبَرَ أُوْلُوا الْعَزْمِ مِنَ الرُّسُلِ وَلا تَسْتَعْجِلْ لَهُمْ
[Al-Hijr: 35]. He the Exalted said:
And be patient, [O Muhammad], for the decision of your Lord, for indeed, you are in Our eyes.
[Al-Shu'ara: 48]. He the Exalted said:
Then declare what you are commanded and turn away from the polytheists.
[Al-Hijr: 94].
So the believer is patient and seeks reward from Allah. Allah says:
and be patient. Indeed, Allah is with the patient.
[Al-Anfal: 46]. And He the Exalted says:
Indeed, the patient will be given their reward without account."إِنَّمَا يُوَفَّى الصَّابِرُونَ أَجْرَهُمْ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ
[Az-Zumar: 10]. And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
And whoever remains patient, Allah will make him patient. Nobody can be given a blessing better and greater than patience.
Sahih al-Bukhari 1469
So be patient and advise them, and direct to them good words. Seek help from Allah, then from the good sisters you see, by advising them. Cooperate in righteousness and piety, so that there will be with you those who help you in advice, direction, and guidance. And never despair. Allah says:
And do not despair of the mercy of Allah.
[Yusuf: 87]. And He says:
do not despair of the mercy of Allahلا تَقْنَطُوا مِنْ رَحْمَةِ اللَّهِ
[Az-Zumar: 53].
So you should be patient, give advice, and continue in calling to Allah, and guiding, while asking Allah for their success. Ask Allah for them, for they are your sisters. Ask Allah for their success, guidance, and righteousness, and that He bestow upon them repentance. Do not be distressed and never despair.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good and do you good.
