Ruling on shortening the prayer of a traveler if he stays

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
We are travelers and there is a mosque near us in al-Aziziyah. Should we pray in it or at home?

Answer:
You have a choice. If you pray shortened in your place, there is no harm. If you pray with the people, you pray four rak'ahs. The traveler has a choice: if he wishes, he prays shortened, and if he wishes, he prays four rak'ahs with the people. However, if he is alone, he does not pray alone; he must pray with the congregation, whether they are shortening or completing. If they are shortening, he shortens with them, and if they are completing, he completes with them. He does not pray alone.
