The Attribute of the Two Eyes of Allah the Exalted

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The Salaf said: Allah the Exalted has two eyes, but in the text, sometimes the plural is mentioned and sometimes the singular, yet we know that Allah the Exalted has two eyes. So where is the evidence?

Answer:
Allah, Glorified and Exalted, is described as having two eyes, and He is not one-eyed, unlike the Dajjal, who is one-eyed in his right eye. In the Arabic language, the dual may be expressed using the plural, as Allah, Glorified and Exalted, said in Surat al-Tahrim:
If you two [wives] repent to Allah, [it is best], for your hearts have deviated.إِنْ تَتُوبَا إِلَى اللَّهِ فَقَدْ صَغَتْ قُلُوبُكُمَا
[al-Tahrim:4], and the meaning is: your two hearts.
Thus, the dual was expressed with the plural. Likewise, His saying, Glorified and Exalted:
[As for] the thief, the male and the female, amputate their handsوَالسَّارِقُ وَالسَّارِقَةُ فَاقْطَعُوا أَيْدِيَهُمَا
[al-Ma'idah:38], and the meaning is: their two hands. By this, the difficulty in Allah's, Glorified and Exalted, saying:
And be patient, [O Muhammad], for the decision of your Lord, for indeed, you are in Our eyes.وَاصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ فَإِنَّكَ بِأَعْيُنِنَا
[al-Tur:48] is resolved. And in His saying, (peace and blessings be upon him) :
It moves by Our eyesتَجْرِي بِأَعْيُنِنَا
[al-Qamar:14]. And success is from Allah.
