The Shaykh’s remarks on the ruling regarding the recitation of the Qur'an by a menstruating woman and a person in a state of major ritual impurity, and the recitation of the Verse of the Throne by a menstruating woman in the night remembrances.

The Shaykh : Regarding menstruating women, let us expand on this topic a bit more. Menstruating women, where a woman remains for five days, six days, seven days, more or less, this varies from woman to woman. We prohibit them from the remembrance of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) and the recitation of the words of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) for the entire duration of this period, because the Shari'ah has prevented them from praying while they are menstruating. Therefore, there are hadiths that confirm for us this facilitation in the religion, whether for the person in a state of major ritual impurity or for the menstruating woman. As for the person in a state of major ritual impurity, I mentioned the hadith earlier, which is from the hadith of A'ishah:
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to remember Allah in all his states. كان رسول الله - صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم - يذكر الله على كل أحيانه
Al-Mustadrak lil-Hakim 27:20
. Sometimes he would be in a state of purity, and this is the common case, and sometimes he would be in a state of major ritual impurity, and this is the rare case. And as I mentioned earlier, he would not take a full ritual bath, even in Ramadan sometimes, except before the call to the dawn prayer. This is for the facilitation of the people. Otherwise, he (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded the Muslim not to sleep except in a state of purity. If the major purity, which is the full ritual bath, is not available to him, then he should be in a state of ablution. Pay attention: if ablution is not available to him, he performs dry ablution with the wall. He performs dry ablution with the wall. All of this is an application of His saying (Glorified and Exalted is He):
and has not placed upon you in the religion any difficulty وَمَا جَعَلَ عَلَيْكُمْ فِي الدِّينِ مِنْ حَرَجٍ
[Al-Hajj 22:78]
. This is regarding the person in a state of major ritual impurity. As for the menstruating woman, as we said earlier, the menstruating woman needs to sleep. She does not recite the Verse of the Throne in order to be protected from Satan. Do you know the story of Abu Hurayrah? "When he was guarding the dates in the treasury of the Muslims, he saw a person whom he did not know where he had entered from, taking dates and putting them in his sack. He rushed at him and grabbed him. He entered upon him and said to him: 'I have children and we have no food.' His heart was moved with compassion for him, and he released him. In the morning, Abu Hurayrah narrated his story to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), who said:
That is a jinn, and it will return to you. ذاك شيطان وسيعود إليك
." And indeed, the second night, while he was guarding the dates, the person entered again. He grabbed him again, felt compassion and mercy for him, and let him go. He did this three times.

The questioner : And he knew that it was a jinn.

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : And he knew that it was a jinn.

The Shaykh : The Messenger informed him that it was a jinn three times, three times. The third time, he said to him: "You have told the truth - again - and you are a liar, and it will return to you." He returned again and sought his sympathy. He said to the Messenger: "Inform me that you are a jinn, and I will not leave you." He said to him: "Leave me, and I will offer you a piece of advice." And here is the point: "He said to him: 'What is it?' He said: 'Do not place your side [to sleep] until you have recited the Verse of the Throne; for if you do that, no human or jinn will harm you that night.'" He also left him. He went to the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: صدقك وهو كذوب He has told you the truth, and he is a liar. This - glory to Allah! - is the verse. This is the Verse of the Throne. Among its blessings is that it protects the Muslim from the evil of humans and jinn. The menstruating woman, especially if she is alone, does not recite the Verse of the Throne in order to secure her state from the evil of humans and jinn. We have no evidence preventing her from reciting the Qur'an. But the one who prevents it looks at the fact that the Qur'an is a pillar of the prayer: لا صلاة لِمَن لا يقرأ بفاتحة الكتاب There is no prayer for one who does not recite the opening of the Book.Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah 2:166. My brothers, it is not necessary to give the ruling of the whole to the part. No, this is a mistake.
