What should one do if he comes to the congregational prayer and finds no place?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
He also says: The individual prayer is not permissible, but if the worshipper enters and finds the imam bowing, should he pull someone from the middle of the row or from its right side, or should he bow alone on the possibility that another person will join him, even if it is after the rak'ah?
Answer: What is recommended is that he should not rush. If he arrives and the imam is bowing, he should look for a suitable place, a gap in which he can enter at the end of the row, until the row is completed. He should not rush, even if he misses the rak'ah. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
and pray whatever you get (with the people) and complete the rest which you have missedما أدركتم فصلوا وما فاتكم فأتموا
Sahih al-Bukhari 635
and he prohibited rushing.
So the one who enters should not rush and should not stand alone in a row, but should look for a gap or stand at the end of the row. If he finds no place, he should move forward and stand to the right of the imam, and he should not pray alone. The Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
The prayer of a person who prays alone behind the row is not accepted.لا صلاة لمنفرد خلف الصف
Bulugh al-Maram 2:327
, and when he saw a man praying behind the rows alone, he ordered him to repeat the prayer.
So the conclusion is: he should not pull anyone, because this is manipulating people without right; and because this opens a gap in the row. If he pulls him, he opens a gap in the row, whereas the requirement is to fill the gaps and close the spaces and not create gaps in the rows. But he should wait, perhaps someone will come, if the row is complete and there is no place with the imam, he waits. Otherwise, let him move forward and pray with the imam to his right, or he should bring the individuals of the row closer together until he finds a gap to enter, and he should not pray alone. Yes.
