Naming the Foundling Child

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
He also has a question about a foundling. He says: If a person finds a foundling child abandoned at one of the mosque doors and wants to take him and raise him, what should he name him? And to whom should he attribute him, since one day he will enter school and carry the hearts' suspicions?
Answer: He has done well in this if he raised him and treated him well; he has done well. He should name him with legitimate names, such as: Abdullah ibn Abdullah, Abdullah ibn Abdul Latif, Abdullah ibn Abdul Karim. All people are the servants of Allah, so that no harm comes to him in schools, and so that he does not suffer deficiency, shrinkage, or harm.
The point is: that he should name him from the names of worship: Abdullah ibn Abdul Karim, Abdullah ibn Abdul Latif, Abdullah ibn Abdul Malik, and the like. Yes, this is the closest, if Allah wills.
Or he should name him with a name that is suitable for both women and men, and this may also be safer; because he is attributed to his mother. So if he names him with a name that is suitable for men and women, he might say: Abdullah ibn Atiyyah, ibn Atiyyat Allah, Abdullah ibn Hibat Allah; because Hibat Allah and Atiyyat Allah are suitable for women and men. The meaning is: the son of his mother. Hibat Allah means: his mother, meaning: from the gift of Allah. Abdullah ibn Atiyyah, Abdullah ibn Hibat Allah, Abdullah ibn So-and-so, with names that are suitable for women and men. Yes, this is safer.
The presenter: And he names him with a three-part name, and all of them are "Abd"?
The Shaykh: There is no harm in that. Or like Abdullah ibn Hibat Allah ibn Atiyyat Allah, or Abdullah ibn Atiyyah ibn Hibat Allah, and his intention is his mother and his grandmother. Yes, there is no harm. Each one is called Hibat Allah, or called Atiyyat Allah, for example. He comes with a name that is suitable, other than these names, that is suitable for women and men, there is no harm. Yes.
