Prioritizing the obedience of Allah and His Messenger over hobbies and other things

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
I have a sister whose hobby is drawing. After she completed her secondary education and enrolled in university, this hobby grew and continued with her. She used to draw things as they are in reality or in close conformity with them. When I advised her to leave this thing and reminded her of the hadiths of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) regarding this, she says: "It is my hobby, and I cannot give it up." Nevertheless, she is a young woman of good character who holds fast to the commands of her religion. I ask you to explain this matter in detail, perhaps Allah will guide her to the right path?
Answer: It is obligatory for every Muslim man and woman to seek out the commands of Allah, and to obey His command and the command of His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), and not to use a hobby as an excuse for this. So the obedience of Allah and His Messenger takes precedence over a hobby. If her hobby were shirk (associating partners with Allah), would she commit shirk because her hobby is shirk? Or if his hobby were drinking intoxicants, would he drink intoxicants? Or if his hobby were leaving the prayer and sleeping through it, would he leave the prayer? All of this is wrong.
It is obligatory to make the Shari'ah the judge in everything, in hobbies and other things, and in opinions. So if her hobby is image-making, let her draw trees, mountains, cars, and things that have no life, but as for drawing beings with souls, that is not permissible.
And she must leave her hobby for the sake of obeying Allah and His Messenger. Even if she were committing zina (unlawful sexual intercourse) and saying: "My hobby is zina," does she have a dispensation for that because of the hobby? She must leave zina in obedience to Allah and His Messenger. Or if she were drinking intoxicants or smoking, would she do that and continue with it? No; she must leave that and abandon this hobby in obedience to Allah and His Messenger.
And likewise, if her hobby were leaving the prayer, she must leave this hobby and repent to Allah, and hasten to perform the prayer at its times and leave this evil hobby. And so with the rest of the hobbies that contradict the Shari'ah of Allah, they must be left in obedience to Allah and His Messenger, and the believing man and woman must adhere to the command of Allah and His Messenger. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you.
