The Ruling on Praying Behind One Who Claims Knowledge of the Unseen and Worships the Jinn

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Our brother also lists many cases regarding such people, and he also asks about the ruling on praying behind them: is it permissible, or not?

Answer:
As mentioned previously, if he is one who claims knowledge of the unseen, or is known for worshipping the jinn, then one does not pray behind him; because he is a disbeliever. It is obligatory for the people of faith to boycott him, warn against him, and report his case to the authorities, if he is in a land where he can be judged and prevented. They should strive to eliminate him through the authorities, warn the people against him, and not pray behind him.
As for if his treatment is with the usual medicine, the common treatment among people, which does not involve worshipping the jinn, nor claiming knowledge of the unseen, but rather consists of known, customary matters among people that he uses in treating patients; then Allah benefits through him, and there is no blame on him. And if he is qualified to lead the prayer, then one prays behind him.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good.
