The Ruling on Listening to the Radio While It Is Raining

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Is listening to the radio while it is raining forbidden, or is it lawful?

Answer:
Listening to the radio does not differ in any time, whether it is during rain or otherwise. If the listening is to what Allah has permitted, such as recitation, advice, and things in which there is no harm, the believer listens to it during rain and at other times.
As for listening to what Allah has forbidden, such as obscene and reprehensible songs, and the like of what Allah has forbidden, and instruments of amusement, this is not permissible, neither during rain nor otherwise. One does not listen to songs, entertainments, music, the oud, or the rebab, even when it is not raining, neither at night nor during the day. Rather, one should avoid these foul sounds and listen only to what Allah has permitted, such as the recitation of the Qur'an, or the noble hadith, or advice, or a scholarly discussion, or news. Yes.
