Question:
This questioner says, regarding the hadith of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) concerning ihsan (excellence in worship):
To worship Allah as if you see Himأن تعبد الله كأنك تراه
Sahih al-Bukhari 50
He says: I hope you will clarify for us how we worship Allah as if we see Him, while being rewarded?

Answer:
This is the hadith of Jibril when he asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about ihsan (excellence in worship). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him:
To worship Allah as if you see Himأن تعبد الله كأنك تراه
Sahih al-Bukhari 50
Meaning: as if you are seeing Him, meaning: so that you strive in the deed, so that you are sincere in the deed, so that you perform the deed in the best manner and the most complete manner. If the believer acts as if he is seeing Allah, and that Allah is before him; then he strives in the deed, and he is eager to complete and perfect it, as if he is seeing Allah, as if he is in the presence of Allah seeing Allah
and if you cannot achieve this state of devotion then you must consider that He is looking at youفإن لم تكن تراه فإنه يراك
Sahih al-Bukhari 50
Meaning: so know that He sees you, and He is aware of you, and He watches you So strive to rectify the deed and to do it with excellence, for you are in one of two states:
Either you act as if you see Allah, and this is the highest and the most elevated, and it is the level of seeing Him.
And the second is: that you act, believing that Allah sees you, and knowing that Allah sees you, so you act in the sight and hearing of Allah; so you strive to perform the deed in the best manner; because Allah watches you, meaning: you keep in mind that Allah watches you, and He knows your place :
Who sees you when you standالَّذِي يَرَاكَ حِينَ تَقُومُ ۝
and your movements among those who prostrate [Surah al-Shu'ara: 218-219]
Indeed, I am with you both; I hear and I see.إِنَّنِي مَعَكُمَا أَسْمَعُ وَأَرَى
[Surah Ta-Ha: 46] Yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good.
