The place the praying person looks at in Makkah

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
After that, we move on to a letter sent by the questioner: (H. A. Ali) from Abha. She has a set of questions—truthfully—this letter begins with the first question, and she says: “Whoever goes to Makkah—O honorable Shaykh—must he direct his gaze toward the Ka'bah, or toward the place of his prostration?”

Answer:
It is prescribed for the praying person to look at the place of his prostration in Makkah, and in other places as well. However, if he wants to look at the Ka'bah, he should look at it outside of prayer. As for during prayer, he should focus on his prayer, be humble in it, and lower his gaze to the place of his prostration. This is the Sunnah. Yes.
