The ruling on a woman wearing a jilbab that is not black

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Among the questions from this questioner from Syria, she says: Is going out without a black jilbab, for example, in colors like purple, green, or gray, forbidden? Please guide us in this matter.

Answer:
Going out to the market in a jilbab that covers her 'awrah (the part of the body that must be covered) and covers her, whether it is black, red, or green, as long as it does not draw attention and does not lead to fitnah (trial, discord or temptation), there is no blame on her. She should be covered in her body, there is no blame, covered in her face and feet, meaning: nothing of her is seen, there is no blame in that.
The point is: to stay away from the causes of fitnah (trial, discord or temptation), and it is not a condition for that to wear the 'abayah, but the 'abayah is more complete. The 'abayah that does not contain fitnah (trial, discord or temptation) is more complete in covering, and the face should be covered with the khimar (the head covering), or with the niqab (the face veil) from which nothing is visible except the eye, or the two eyes, or with the khimar (the head covering), so there is no blame in that; due to His saying -Exalted and Majestic is He-:
And abide in your houses and do not display yourselves as [was] the display of the former times of ignoranceوَقَرْنَ فِي بُيُوتِكُنَّ وَلا تَبَرَّجْنَ تَبَرُّجَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ الأُولَى
[Al-Ahzab:33] He forbade tabarruj (a woman's display of her adornment), so if she goes out without tabarruj (a woman's display of her adornment); there is nothing wrong with it.
And due to His saying -Exalted and Majestic is He-:
And when you ask [his wives] for something, ask them from behind a partition. That is purer for your hearts and their hearts.
[Al-Ahzab:53], and due to His saying, the Exalted:
O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to bring down over themselves [part] of their outer garments. That is more suitable that they will be known and not be abusedيَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ قُلْ لِأَزْوَاجِكَ وَبَنَاتِكَ وَنِسَاءِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ يُدْنِينَ عَلَيْهِنَّ مِنْ جَلابِيبِهِنَّ ذَلِكَ أَدْنَى أَنْ يُعْرَفْنَ فَلا يُؤْذَيْنَ
[Al-Ahzab:59] And the jilbab (the outer garment): is the garment that covers the body. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good, O Shaykh.
