What is required of one who performed the full ritual bath and prayed the Friday prayer but did not perform the ablution?

The questioner (A. A.) says: A man performed the full ritual bath for the Friday prayer, then went to the mosque to pray. After he prayed, either before leaving the mosque or after leaving it, he remembered that he had not performed the ablution. What is the answer to this issue? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
The one who performed the full ritual bath for the Friday prayer but did not perform the ablution, and then remembered after the prayer, must repeat the Friday prayer as the midday prayer. He should perform the ablution and pray the midday prayer; because his prayer is not valid, as he prayed without the ablution. The full ritual bath does not take the place of the ablution. The full ritual bath for the Friday prayer is not sufficient unless he performs the ablution before it or after it. So if he prayed without performing the ablution, he must repeat it as the midday prayer. Yes, he should perform the ablution and repeat it as the midday prayer.
