The ruling on one who swore by divorce while unaware of its occurrence

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
From the Prophet’s city, this is a message sent by our brother the listener (E. R. S). He says: When I first got married, I was completely ignorant that divorce is effected by a word. So whenever I had a disagreement with my wife, I would swear divorce upon her. When I learned that divorce is effected by a word, I stopped completely, praise be to Allah. I was blessed with children and became a student of knowledge—meaning: religious knowledge. When I recall the oaths I made in the past, I am deeply saddened, even though my wife and I and our children are well, praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds. Doubts torment me, and I fear Allah and I fear that my cohabitation with my wife is in an incorrect manner. I ask for your guidance. May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
You must go to the court in your country and explain the situation to them, and they will issue a ruling for you, if Allah wills, regarding what is required. Or you can write to us explaining the situation, and we will refer you to the judge to attend with the woman and her guardian, and explain to the judge what happened. After that, the ruling will be issued, if Allah wills, and in what the judge sees is goodness and blessing, if Allah wills. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
