The Shaykh Abu Malik’s closing of the session in the presence of Shaykh Nasir al-Din al-Albani

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The student : Praise be to Allah, by whose blessings righteous deeds are completed. And though, praise be to Allah, His blessings continue to be bestowed upon us in these gatherings of this noble knowledge, we hope that Allah (Mighty and Majestic) will sustain the pouring of His blessings upon us through them, so that we may be among those whom the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) encouraged regarding the pursuit of knowledge and learning, when he said:
He upon whom Allah intends to bestow goodness, He confers upon him an insight in religion مَن يُرِدِ اللهُ به خيرًا يفقِّهْه في الدين
Sahih Muslim 1037a
. It is self-evident to all our brothers present that the issues of knowledge cannot be preserved except through certain matters. The first matter is the fear of Allah (Mighty and Majestic), sincerity, and purity of intention. The second matter is striving in the excellence of seeking knowledge. The third matter is honoring the scholars and respecting them, not criticizing them or attacking their honor, and treating them with the same regard in their presence as in their absence. We ask Allah (Mighty and Majestic) to reward our brother, the host, Abu Sultan, and to gather us with our brother Shaykh Hamdi, through whose blessings this session took place with our Shaykh Abu 'Abd al-Rahman, may Allah reward him with good. Finally, I ask Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) to teach us what benefits us and to benefit us with what He has taught us. We call upon Allah (Mighty and Majestic) for our brother Malik—what is his name?—our brother Sa'ud al-Maliki, for these questions with which he conducted our session. And we conclude the session with the supplication he (peace and blessings be upon him) taught us:
O Allah, grant us from Your fear that which prevents us from Your disobedience, and from Your obedience that which leads us to Your Paradise, and from certainty that which makes the trials of this world easy for us. O Allah, let us enjoy the use of our eyes, our hearing, and our strength as long as You keep us alive, and make them the inheritance from us. O Allah, make our revenge against those who wronged us, and help us against those who opposed us, and do not make this world the greatest of our concerns, nor the limit of our knowledge, and do not give power over us to one who does not have mercy on us.
.
Glory be to You, O Allah, and praise be to You. I bear witness that there is no deity but You. I seek Your forgiveness and turn to You in repentance. May Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and companions, and grant them peace.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good, O Shaykh.

Another questioner : And beware of that.
