The Ruling on a Child’s Vomiting

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
From Oman, Jordan, a listener says: Your sister, Umm Anas, asks: My child is breastfed on artificial milk, and he constantly regurgitates several times within the hour, and it sometimes affects my clothes. I pray while wearing them without washing them. Am I required to renew my ablution or change my clothes? Is my prayer valid without doing so?
May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
It seems she means vomiting.

The presenter: Yes.

The Shaykh: That he vomits from this milk he drinks. It is prescribed for you to wash what affects you. That is, some scholars consider this vomit like his urine. So, it is prescribed for you to wash these clothes if the amount is large. However, if the vomit is small, it is excused. This is what is prescribed. The most cautious course for you is to wash what affects you. As for the purity, it is valid; the purity is not invalidated. But what affects the garment, the leg, or anything else must be washed. This is the most cautious course to avoid the disagreement among scholars. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
