Is there any evidence regarding the preference for reciting Surat al-Kahf?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Finally: We conclude this meeting—O Shaykh—Is there any evidence regarding the preference for Surat al-Kahf?

Answer:
Yes, there is a report from some of the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them and grant them satisfaction) reciting it on Friday. A weak hadith has been narrated regarding this, so reciting it on Friday is a good practice; because the action of the Companions indicates that there is a basis for it, and the fact that some of the Companions did this indicates that they heard something about it (may Allah be pleased with them and grant them satisfaction). And if a person recites it on Friday, it is good—if Allah wills.

The presenter: The entire surah or part of it?

The Shaykh: The entire surah, yes.
