The multiplication of the reward for prayer in the Prophet's Mosque

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
A message was sent from the Holy City of Madinah by one of the listening brothers from there, who indicated his name with the letters (M) and (H). He asks several questions, one of which says: Is the voluntary prayer in the Prophet's Mosque equal to the best prayer? Or is the multiplication of the reward specific to the obligatory prayer only? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
The multiplication is general for the obligatory prayer and the voluntary prayer in the Prophet's Mosque (peace and blessings be upon him) and in the Sacred Mosque. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not specify the obligatory prayer; rather, he said:
Salat is this Masjid of mine is better than a thousand Salat in another, except for Masjid Al-Haram.صلاة في مسجدي هذا خير من ألف صلاة فيما سواه، إلا المسجد الحرام
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 325Sahih (Darussalam)
And he (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
A prayer in the Sacred Mosque is worth a hundred prayers in the Prophet's Mosque (peace and blessings be upon him)صلاة في المسجد الحرام بمائة صلاة في مسجد النبي ﷺ
meaning: it is worth a hundred thousand prayers in other mosques. This includes both the voluntary and the obligatory prayer.
However, the voluntary prayer in the house is better, and its reward is greater. For a woman, it is better in her house, and her reward is greater. If a man prays in the Prophet's Mosque (peace and blessings be upon him), whether obligatory or voluntary, he gets this multiplication. But despite this, it is prescribed for him to pray the voluntary prayers in his house: the Sunnah of the midday prayer... the Sunnah of the sunset prayer... the Sunnah of the night prayer... the Sunnah of the dawn prayer. It is better in the house, and its multiplication is greater; because the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) said to the people:
The most excellent prayer of a person is (that which he prays) in his house except that which is prescribed (the five congregational prayers).أفضل صلاة المرء في بيته إلا المكتوبة
Bulugh al-Maram 2:313
and he was addressing them while he was in Madinah (may Allah's prayers and peace be upon him). This indicates that their prayer in their houses—the voluntary prayer—is better, and its multiplication is greater. And so it is in the Sacred Mosque. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
