What is the evidence for placing the hands on the chest after rising from bowing?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
He asks and says: Is there any legal evidence for placing the hands on the chest after rising from bowing?

Answer:
Yes; it is established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he used to place his right hand over his left hand on his chest when he was standing in prayer. This is general, covering both before bowing and after bowing. This is established in the Sunan from the hadith of Wa'il ibn Hujr, who said: "When he was standing in prayer, he would place his right palm over his left palm." This covers what was done before bowing and after bowing. Likewise, the hadith of Sahl ibn Sa'd in al-Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) states: "The man was ordered to place his right hand over his left forearm in prayer." Al-Bukhari narrated it. The meaning of this is that he places his right hand over his left while standing in prayer; because in the state of bowing he places them on his knees, in the state of prostration he places them on the ground, and in the state of sitting he places them on his thighs or knees. So what remains is standing, which indicates that he places his right hand over his left forearm. And in the hadith of Wa'il, it is clarified that it is on his chest. So the hadiths explain one another.
Likewise, it came as a mursal report from the hadith of Tawus ibn Kaysan, the great Tabi'i. It came from him with a sound chain: "That the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to place his right hand over his left palm on his chest while standing in prayer" (peace and blessings be upon him). This includes what is before bowing and what is after bowing.
And whoever distinguishes, saying: after bowing he does not place them, he must provide the evidence. The original rule is that what was established remains as it was. So whoever claims that he lets them hang down, he must provide the evidence. Otherwise, the original rule is that their placement remains in its initial state, during standing. Yes.
