The Ruling on Dark Discharge at the End of the Menstrual Period

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The questioner, O Noble Shaykh, says: What is the ruling on the dark discharge that comes at the end of the menstrual period, since some people consider it pure?

Answer:
This varies. If it is after seeing the sign of purity, then she prays, fasts, and has no obligation regarding it; she performs wudu for every prayer. The dark discharge is not menstruation. If she sees the dark discharge after purity, she prays, fasts, is lawful for her husband, and performs wudu for every prayer, just as with urine; she performs wudu for every prayer.
As for if the dark discharge is during the menstruation... at the end of the menstruation, she should not hasten until the dark discharge ceases, then she performs ghusl. The dark discharge that is connected to the menstruation is not menstruation until she sees the white thread, or the pure sign of purity, then she performs ghusl.

The presenter: May Allah reward you, O Shaykh.
