The Ruling on a Woman Praying in Perfumed Clothing

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
This is a questioner for the program who says: Your Eminence, the Shaykh! What is the ruling on using perfumes that contain alcohol for men, and praying in them? And what is the ruling on a woman using these perfumes to adorn herself for her husband, knowing that she is careful not to go out wearing them? The husband desires her to use them, and this woman does not pray in the clothes that these perfumes touch; she washes what touches her body from them before prayer. Is it permissible to pray in clothes that have these perfumes on them?

Answer:
If the perfumes contain an intoxicating substance, it is not permissible to use them. If the perfume contains an intoxicating substance, it is not for a woman, nor for a man, to use it; rather, it is forbidden to use it. As for if the perfume is free from intoxicants, there is no harm, but the woman should not go out with it in the markets; rather, she should be in her home with her husband. And if she goes out, she should avoid the fragrance.
As for if it contains an intoxicant, if the substance is intoxicating, if it contains an intoxicant; then it is not permissible to use it, and it is not lawful for a believer to use what contains an intoxicant; because Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) said in His great Book:
indeed, intoxicants, gambling, [sacrificing on] stone alters [to other than Allah], and divining arrows are but defilement from the work of Satan, so avoid it that you may be successful.
[Al-Ma'idah: 90] So it is obligatory for every Muslim, and every Muslim woman, to avoid everything that intoxicates. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you and bless you, may the Shaykh be respected.
