Using Scented Soap by the One in Ihram

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Q3: Is it permissible for the one in ihram to use scented soap , for example, to take a bath with it? What is the ruling on one who used it while ignorant of its ruling? And is it permissible for a woman in ihram to wear clothes washed with this scented soap?
A3 : It is not permissible for the one in ihram, whether male or female, to use perfume, and this includes using scented soap. If one intentionally uses perfume while knowing the ruling, he owes the expiation. If one was ignorant of the ruling or forgot, he owes nothing; because Allah the Exalted said:
Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred.رَبَّنَا لاَ تُؤَاخِذْنَا إِنْ نَسِينَا أَوْ أَخْطَأْنَا
[Al-Baqarah 2:286]
, and because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Allah has forgiven my nation for mistakes and forgetfulness, and what they are forced to do.رفع عن أمتي الخطأ والنسيان وما استكرهوا عليه
Sunan Ibn Majah 2045Sahih (Darussalam)
. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
