What is the ruling on removing hair from any part of a woman's body?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Anyone else?

The questioner : Our Shaykh, if I may ask, O Shaykh.

The Shaykh: Go ahead.

The questioner : My question, O Shaykh: There is a hadith from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him):
May Allah curse the woman who plucks eyebrows and the woman who has them plucked لَعَنَ اللهُ النَّامصة والمتنمِّصة
So our question is: Is it permissible to pluck hair or remove hair from any part of a woman's body, other than what we know? You mentioned in general terms that it is not permissible, so we would like some detail so that we do not follow our desires!

The Shaykh : But there are many, many recorded tapes with this answer, brother. Perhaps you can obtain some of them, so that we do not waste time on a repeated matter. I say: Based on what the Messenger (peace be upon him) said:
May Allah curse the women who pluck eyebrows and the women who have them plucked لَعَنَ الله النَّامصات والمتنمِّصات
up to where he said:
those who alter the creation of Allah for the sake of beauty المغيِّرات لخلق الله للحُسْنِ
So plucking hair, for example, from... He answered him with a word that is the very essence of the lesson and good admonition. He said to him: "O so-and-so, raise your garment, for it is more pious and purer." And he answered his doubt by saying: "Every creation of Allah is beautiful." So you, Allah created you with bowed legs, and this was not a mutation from the creation of Allah, as the atheists say, but rather it was for a profound wisdom. And so, draw an analogy: if you see a man who is beardless, smooth-faced, with no beard, and he is fifty or sixty years old, like a woman, this is not a natural anomaly; this is the creation of Allah. And if you see a woman who also has a beard, this is not a medical anomaly; this is the creation of Allah. And this is the command of Allah. This is for Allah (Mighty and Majestic) to establish His proof against His creation, to say to them: The matter is entirely in My hand, so I do what I will:
This is the creation of Allah. So show Me what those other than Him have created هَذَا خَلْقُ اللَّهِ فَأَرُونِي مَاذَا خَلَقَ الَّذِينَ مِنْ دُونِهِ
[Luqman 31:11]
; therefore, alteration is not permissible except with what is permitted. For example, cutting the nails is a form of alteration, but this is from the fitrah (the innate natural disposition). Trimming the mustache,
Trim the mustaches قصُّوا الشارب
, as he (peace be upon him) said in the authentic hadith, plucking the armpit hair, shaving the pubic hair, circumcision; all of these fall under altering the creation of Allah, because Allah created the man and the woman, for example, with hair in a certain place on the body, and He commanded the alteration of that. So here, it does not become a blameworthy alteration, because Allah permitted it. Other than that, it is not permissible to alter it.
