Does the one who takes over from the imam complete what he stopped at?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
If the imam leaves due to an excuse during the loud prayer or others, and another is brought forward, does he complete what he stopped at in the recitation, or does he start anew? Please inform us, and may Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
The prescribed practice is to start from where the first one stopped. So, if he prayed one rak'ah, he prays the remaining rak'ahs. If he prayed the first rak'ah with him, he prays the remaining rak'ahs. If he starts anew from the beginning, there is no harm, but the correct view is that there is no need to start anew. For example, if the first one cut off the prayer at the first tashahhud, he completes the two remaining rak'ahs. If he cut off the prayer in the third rak'ah, likewise, he completes the rest. Or if it was in the first rak'ah, he completes the rest. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), in what is authentic from him, built upon the beginning of the prayer when it was mentioned that... The intended story is that of 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) . As for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he remembered, went and performed wudu', and prayed with the people. But the story of 'Umar is: he was stabbed, so he appointed 'Abd al-Rahman ibn 'Awf, and 'Abd al-Rahman completed the prayer with them from where 'Umar stopped, from the place where 'Umar stopped, and did not start it anew from the beginning, but rather completed it with them. This is the stronger position.
And if he started with them from the beginning and began it anew from the beginning, there is no blame on him, and praise be to Allah. Because some of the scholars of knowledge said: he should start anew. And some of the scholars of knowledge said: he suffices with the stopping point, starting from the stopping point of the imam who was preceded by the incident, or who cut it off for another matter... And if he had recited al-Fatihah, reciting al-Fatihah suffices, unless the one who took over from him did not recite it, in which case he recites it. And if he had recited it, praise be to Allah.
