Who is the first to be given from the categories of zakah and charity?

Question:
The eight categories mentioned by Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) are to be given to in order, starting with the first, in zakah and charities?

Answer:
The most deserving are the poor, for the Lord, Exalted and Majestic, began with them.
And the needy follow them; because the needy person is one who finds some provision, while the poor person is in greater need.
And those who work on it: the workers whom the one in authority sends to collect it from the people; because it is their wage.
And those whose hearts are to be reconciled have various circumstances: sometimes the need for them is urgent, and sometimes it is not.
So the believer should seek in his charity the most needy, then the next most needy, and the most righteous, then the next most righteous.
