Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
If a woman divorces her husband by mutual consent, what is her waiting period?

Answer:
The delivery of the fetus; her waiting period is the delivery of the fetus. All divorced women, all widows, and all women who have divorced by mutual consent, if they are pregnant: the delivery of the fetus is the waiting period:
And for those who are pregnant, their term is until they give birthوَأُولَاتُ الْأَحْمَالِ أَجَلُهُنَّ أَنْ يَضَعْنَ حَمْلَهُنَّ
[Al-Talaq:4], whether it is divorce, mutual consent, or death.
Q: Does the post-natal bleeding period count toward the waiting period?
A: No, it does not count. If she delivers her baby today, she is permissible for the new husband, even if she is still in the post-natal bleeding period.
Q: And if the pregnancy is the longer of the two periods?
A: Even if it is the longer of the two periods, her waiting period is the delivery of the fetus, without exception.
