A: It has been established for us, by the testimony of trustworthy, upright people, that the Palestinian Intifada and those carrying it out from among the particular Muslims there, and that their jihad is Islamic; because they are oppressed by the Jews, and because it is obligatory upon them to defend their religion, their selves, their families, and their children, and to expel their enemy from their land with all the strength they have.
And the trustworthy people who mingled with them in their jihad and participated with them in it informed us of their Islamic enthusiasm, and their eagerness to apply the Islamic Shari'ah among themselves. So it is obligatory upon the Islamic states and the rest of the Muslims to support them and back them so that they may be rid of their enemy and return to their lands, in accordance with the saying of Allah (Mighty and Majestic): [At-Tawbah: 123] and His saying (Glorified and Exalted is He): [At-Tawbah 9:41] the verses [At-Tawbah: 41] and His saying (Mighty and Majestic): [As-Saf 61:10] you believe in Allah and His Messenger and strive in the cause of Allah with your wealth and your selves. That is better for you if you only knew. He will forgive you your sins and admit you into Gardens beneath which rivers flow, and pleasant dwellings in the Gardens of Eden. That is the great success. and another [thing] that you love: victory from Allah and a near conquest. And give good tidings to the believers. [As-Saff: 10-13] And the verses in this meaning are many.
And it is authentic from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:Sunan Abi Dawud 2504Sahih (Al-Albani) And because they are oppressed, it is obligatory upon their Muslim brothers to support them against those who oppress them; by the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): Sahih al-Bukhari 6951 agreed upon as authentic, and his saying (peace and blessings be upon him): Sahih al-Bukhari 2443 They said: O Messenger of Allah, I support him when he is oppressed, but how do I support him when he is the oppressor? He said: Sunan al-Bayhaqi 7:37 And the hadiths regarding the obligation of jihad in the path of Allah, supporting the oppressed, and restraining the oppressor are very many.
So we ask Allah to support our brother mujahideen in the path of Allah in Palestine and elsewhere against their enemy, and to unite their word upon the truth, and to enable all Muslims to help them and stand in their ranks against their enemy, and to cause the enemies of Islam to fail wherever they are, and to bring upon them His wrath which is not averted from the criminal people. Indeed, He is Hearing, Near.

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا قَاتِلُوا الَّذِينَ يَلُونَكُمْ مِنَ الْكُفَّارِ وَلْيَجِدُوا فِيكُمْ غِلْظَةً وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الْمُتَّقِينَGo forth, whether light or heavy, and strive with your wealth and your lives in the cause of Allah. That is better for you, if you only knew.
انْفِرُوا خِفَافًا وَثِقَالًا وَجَاهِدُوا بِأَمْوَالِكُمْ وَأَنْفُسِكُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ذَلِكُمْ خَيْرٌ لَكُمْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْْ تَعْلَمُونَO you who have believed, shall I guide you to a transaction that will save you from a painful punishment?
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا هَلْ أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَى تِجَارَةٍ تُنْجِيكُمْ مِنْْ عَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ And it is authentic from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:
Use your property, your persons any your tongues in striving against the polytheists.
جاهدوا المشركين بأموالكم وأنفسكم وألسنتكمA Muslim is a brother of another Muslim. So he should neither oppress him nor hand him over to an oppressor.
المسلم أخوو المسلم لا يظلمه ولا يسلمهHelp your brother, whether he is an oppressor or he is an oppressed one.
انصر أخاك ظالما أو مظلوماYou prevent him from committing injustice, and that is how you support him.
