Ruling on reciting a surah after al-Fatihah in prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The same questioner also says: I prayed the midday prayer alone, and in the second unit I did not recite anything other than al-Fatihah, out of forgetfulness, meaning I did not recite a surah from the Noble Qur'an after it. I remembered before the closing salam, so I prostrated two prostrations for forgetfulness. Is there any blame on me for this?
Answer: There is no blame on you, and the prostration for forgetfulness is not obligatory for you; because reciting a surah is not obligatory, rather what is important is reciting al-Fatihah. As for reciting a surah after it or verses after it, that is only recommended. So if a person leaves it, the prostration for forgetfulness is not obligatory for him. And if he prostrates, there is nothing wrong with it, and praise be to Allah. Your prayer is valid and there is no blame on you. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you.
