Q: In the Fajr prayer on Monday, 23/9/1411 AH, in the second rak'ah, while reciting the surah, it became apparent to me that I had not recited al-Fatihah. Rather, after standing up for the second rak'ah, I began reciting the surah, and during the recitation, I remembered, so I recited al-Fatihah and followed it with verses from the surah I was reciting. I then performed the prostration for forgetfulness before the taslim, and then I said the taslim. I blamed the praying people because they did not remind me of my forgetfulness, and there were more than fifty people praying. After the people left, two men remained and said to me: "You recited al-Fatihah twice." The meaning of the two men's statement is that I did not forget. So, in summary, this involves repeating al-Fatihah and adding the prostration for forgetfulness. What is the ruling on this prayer?
A : If the matter is as you described, then your prayer and the prayer of those behind you are valid. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
