Supplications for purifying the heart from the stains of sins

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
You say: What is the supplication for purifying the heart from hatred and envy, and for purifying the tongue from backbiting, talebearing, and lying?
Answer: The Muslim man and woman should supplicate with whatever benefits them in this matter. He or she should say: “O Allah, purify my heart from every trait that does not please You. O Allah, purify my heart from resentment, hatred, envy, and arrogance. O Allah, purify my heart from every evil, from every harm, from every disease.” These are all good words. If a Muslim man or woman supplicates with such a supplication, it is good, as it brings comprehensive words. “O Allah, purify my heart from every evil. O Allah, purify my heart from everything that angers You. O Allah, purify my heart from every resentment, hatred, envy, and arrogance, and the like of that.” And he or she should say: “O Allah, O Turner of hearts, make my heart firm upon Your religion. O Turner of hearts, turn my heart toward Your obedience. O Allah, rectify my heart and my deeds. O Allah, rectify my heart and my deeds. O Allah, purify my heart from every evil. O Allah, purify my heart from every disease. O Allah, purify my heart and my limbs from every evil. O Allah, purify my heart and my limbs from everything that angers You.” These are all appropriate and good words.
The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
