The Ruling on the Hadith: “Choose well for your children, for blood is contagious”

As for the matter: The scholars have stated that the aforementioned hadith is not authentic, so it is not relied upon. However, its general meaning is acceptable. Choosing good women of known noble character for one’s lineage and descendants is established by other evidence. As the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said in the authentic hadith: It is required for a believer to choose good people in their religion, character, and reputation. This is especially true for a woman, who should be from the good women known for their piety and noble character. This is what is required. Yes.
