Ruling on the use of contraceptive pills for family planning

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
We return at the beginning of this episode to the message from the listener: (E. M. Y. M.) from Sudan, who sent a lengthy message. We presented some of its questions in a previous episode, and in this episode he asks and says: We live in the countryside, far from the city, and we have young sons and daughters who need education and medical treatment, and we suffer greatly in securing these necessities. Is it permissible for us to have the women use contraceptive pills for family planning, or how do you guide us?
May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Praise be to Allah, and may Allah send blessings and peace upon the Messenger of Allah, upon his family and his Companions, and upon those who follow his guidance. As for what follows:
The use of what prevents pregnancy, or regulates pregnancy at intervals, for the reason mentioned by the questioner, has no basis, and this is not appropriate. Rather, you should strive to get closer to the places of need that you complain about, such as schools, or hospitals, or the like; because the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) encouraged the community to increase their offspring, and he said:
Marry the fertile and loving women, for I will be boasting with you before the nations on the Day of Resurrection.تزوجوا الولود الودود؛ فإني مكاثر بكم الأمم يوم القيامة
Sunan al-Bayhaqi 10:869
So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) urged increasing the offspring, so it is not appropriate to be lax in this matter. You are able to address the situation by other means, such as getting closer to the places of doctors, being near schools, establishing a school in your area, cooperating to find a doctor in your area, and other such causes. That is to say: finding means and causes other than what you mentioned of taking contraception or regulating it. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
