Is it permissible for women to use birth control pills?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Is it permissible to use birth control pills to avoid childbirth?

The Shaykh : We must know the motive and the reason driving the woman to take these pills. If it is due to an illness, and this illness is diagnosed by a Muslim doctor, then taking the pills is permissible. But if it is out of fear of poverty, then it is not permissible.

The questioner : What if the use of the pills is for the sake of raising the children, or something of that sort?

The Shaykh : That is not permissible. The more children there are, the greater the reward, first. Second, the burden of pregnancy is lightened for the mother, because one of them will help raise the other.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good.

The Shaykh : And beware

The questioner: Peace be upon you.

The Shaykh : And upon you be peace and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.

Another questioner : May Allah be your helper, O Shaykh.

The Shaykh : How?

Another questioner : May Allah be your helper.

The Shaykh : May Allah preserve you. There is no god but Allah.
