Ruling on a woman uncovering her face before her husband's brother

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
The questioner from Jordan, Abu Mu'adh, asks: Is it permissible for a woman to uncover her head covering before her husband's brother?

Answer:
It is not permissible for a woman to uncover herself before her husband's brother or her husband's paternal uncle, as they are not mahram (relatives one may not marry) to her. However, there is no harm in uncovering herself before her father, her paternal grandfather, or her son, as they are mahram. As for her husband's brother, her husband's paternal uncle, and her husband's maternal uncle, they are not mahram, and she must not be alone with any of them, nor uncover herself before any of them. As for her father, her paternal grandfather, and her sons, there is no harm.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
