Does a woman seek divorce to complete her education?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
This questioner says: People in society look with sadness, contempt, and humiliation at a woman who has not completed her education. Is this behavior correct? I want to complete my studies, but my husband refuses. Do I have the right to seek divorce so that I can complete my studies?

Answer:
No, do not seek divorce, but use a good approach; perhaps Allah will guide him to allow you to do so. It is possible for you to benefit from the Quran radio broadcasts, from the Friday sermons that are broadcast, and from the Quran radio, which contains great good, lectures, and seminars, and "Nur 'ala al-Darb." All of this is great knowledge. It is possible that he will allow you in a good way if you try to persuade him with kind words and a good approach.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good. A question, Shaykh 'Abd al-'Aziz (may Allah preserve you). The questioner says that society looks at this woman who has not completed this education with sadness and contempt. Is this correct?

The Shaykh: No, it is not correct. If she is mindful of Allah and upright, it is not permissible to look down on her. Studies may become easy for her, or they may not; not everyone is able to study. But her status is judged by her mindfulness of Allah. Whoever is among the most God-fearing has a great status and a high rank, and she is worthy of not being looked down upon because of her faith and mindfulness of Allah, her intellect, and her discernment. Therefore, it is not befitting and it is not permissible to look down on her because she did not study. A believer does not look down on his brother. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
The whole of the Muslim is sacred to his fellow Muslimكل المسلم على المسلم حرام
Sunan Ibn Majah 3933Sahih (Darussalam)
,
The Muslim is the brother of the Muslim; he does not look down on him, nor does he lie to him, nor does he abandon him. It is sufficient for a person in evil that he looks down on his Muslim brotherفالمسلم أخو المسلم لا يحقره ولا يكذبه ولا يخذله بحسب امرئ من الشر أن يحقر أخاه المسلم
This is not permissible. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
