Is the Hereafter a material world?
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
A message was received for the program from Iraq, sent by one of the brothers there, identified as (T. A. B). Our brother began his message by saying:
It is well known that the meaning of matter is anything that occupies space and has mass, and it exists in three states: the solid state, the liquid state, and the gaseous state. It is also well known, and I believe this is the case, that there are only two forms of existence: the material form and the spiritual form, that is, the soul.
This world, the world of this life in which we live, is a tangible material world; because everything in it is seen and touched, or perceived by the senses, such as air, for example. The question is: Is the Hereafter a material world, a spiritual world, or something else? May Allah reward you with good.
Answer:
The world of the Hereafter is a material world, but we have not reached it yet. We will reach it after the resurrection and the rising. However, we have been informed of it through definitive proofs that admit no doubt or uncertainty, through the path of the Messengers (peace and blessings be upon them), through the path of the fitrah (the innate natural disposition) with which Allah created people, and through the path of the books brought by the Messengers, the greatest and most exalted of which is the Noble Qur'an.
The transmitted and rational proofs, upon which Allah created the servants, have been mass-transmitted regarding belief in the Hereafter, Paradise, and the Fire, that they are true, that they will come to be, and that the people of Paradise will enjoy tangible blessings, eating and drinking, and enjoying the wives from the Houris and others, and enjoying the various types of bliss that are there. Likewise, the people of the Fire will suffer from the punishment Allah has prepared for them, tasting its touch, its evil, and its affliction. All of this is a known matter, established by definitive proofs that admit no doubt or uncertainty. Whoever denies them is a disbeliever whose blood and wealth are lawful, and his abode is the Fire, which is an evil destination. We seek refuge in Allah from that. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you with good.
