Ruling on a woman uncovering her face due to weak eyesight

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
Our sister from Bahrain is also asking and says: O Shaykh! What is your opinion regarding the fact that a woman’s face is an adornment? That is, I am a woman who wears the hijab, but I do not place a covering over my face because my eyesight is weak and I wear glasses, and I am in need of not wearing the covering. Do these matters permit me not to cover it, or not?

Answer:
The hijab is prescribed for the woman, and it is obligatory, as Allah the Exalted said in His Noble Book:
And when you ask [his wives] for something, ask them from behind a partition. That is purer for your hearts and their hearts.
[Al-Ahzab: 53]. And He the Exalted said:
not expose their adornment except to their husbandsوَلا يُبْدِينَ زِينَتَهُنَّ إِلاَّ لِبُعُولَتِهِنَّ
[An-Nur: 31], the verse.
The face is part of the adornment, but if the eyesight is weak and the woman needs to show her eyes, there is no harm. She shows her eyes by wearing the niqab or the burqu' on her face and showing her eyes, or by placing the two glasses on her eyes to benefit from them; there is no blame on her, and praise be to Allah:
So fear Allah as much as you are ableفَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ
[At-Taghabun: 16]. And she covers the rest of the face. Yes.
