We conclude this session, Your Eminence the Shaykh, with this question from (Ahmad A. A.), who says: Regarding some young men who place the Mushaf in the car; is this out of fear of the evil eye?
Answer:
This has no basis; rather, it is a religious innovation (bid'ah); rather, it is of the same kind as an amulet (tamimah), of the same kind as charms. However, one should recite when he boards, saying:Sunan Abi Dawud 3898Sahih (Al-Albani) He asks his Lord for well-being.
As for placing the Mushaf or verses based on the idea that it is a charm, this has no basis; rather, this is among the religious innovations (bid'ah), and this is of the same kind as hanging amulets (tamimat), which is not permissible. May Allah be our helper; there is no power and no strength except with Allah.
