The ruling on settling in a specific place in the mosque.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : The Messenger (peace be upon him) prohibited settling in a specific place in the mosque. Do you not see that this is not settling?

The questioner : By Allah, my Shaykh, we are the first people to arrive and sit in this place only, meaning that settling is not intended. If you wish, we will change.

The Shaykh : May Allah forgive you. Is the legislator me? May Allah reward you with good. This is good, but your trust in me is more than necessary. However, I have acted as I have, and that is from the grace of Allah upon us and upon people. I do not want to impose my opinion on my brothers. Therefore, I began my speech in case you had not heard the prohibition against settling in a specific place in the mosque. Whether you intended it or not, the Shari'ah does not look at this when a person takes a specific place in the mosque, on the right, on the left, or in the middle, even if he did not intend to take that place. Legally, he has settled in that place. Therefore, intention is not considered here, may Allah bless you. Consequently, the result is that a person should move around when he enters the mosque, whether it is for the Friday prayer or a congregational prayer, sometimes here and sometimes there. There is no objection to sticking to, for example, the right side of the imam, because the right side is better, as is not hidden from you. This is a place settled in, with or without intention. So I remind you, and the reminder benefits the believers. This is one point.
