The Shaykh's response to an article titled: A Dialogue with Shaykh Al-Albani

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh: I mean, the last thing that happened regarding our brother Abd al-Rahman.
The student: No one came after that, or no one gave a response, or anything like that.

The Shaykh: No.
The student: I was informed that he has four tapes discussing the issue. Did you receive anything?

The Shaykh: Yes, indeed. Subhan Allah! Some of the brothers handed them to me, four tapes, and I placed them here. Whether it is a book, the book I gave you or another one, so I can take a look at it, or a magazine like this one, I place it in front of me so that I can, what? Devote myself to studying it. I left the tapes here, and they stayed with me for days. Then when the intelligence service raided, they took them along with many other tapes they seized, and... as I mentioned to you, I did not actually listen to them.
The student: And none of our brothers here obtained them by another means.

The Shaykh: Perhaps, perhaps.
The student: By Allah, I mean, I heard four tapes of a scholarly discussion on the topic, and I would have liked you to look at them.

The Shaykh: Now, you reminded me with the word "discussion" that the man, meaning the Salafi, differed, and that is evident in his writing style, for example, in his articles, such as the one that reminded me of what I mentioned to you earlier, "A Dialogue with Shaykh Al-Albani."
The student: From his articles?

The Shaykh: Yes, in this newspaper, in the magazine. I said to some of the enthusiasts, I said to him, from the Arabic perspective, what do you understand by the language? Does "dialogue" mean that one is responding to the other, or does it mean that they met each other and discussed? He said that is the meaning. I said to him, that is political lying, because he is misleading the nation that received this magazine. He is making them think that he met with Al-Albani with this title. But when you read it, there is no meeting; rather, the Shaykh holds such-and-such, and said such-and-such in such-and-such a book or on such-and-such a tape, and my response to him is such-and-such. So, "the end justifies the means."
The student: A figurative dialogue, expanding the word "dialogue" to a great extent.

The Shaykh: Yes.
The student: He expanded the word "dialogue" to a degree that does not come to mind.

The Shaykh: That is why, and this is a lot of what is in that message, he called it political work or something like that. He made a very unfortunate statement. Instead of reminding the Muslims of His saying, the Exalted:
And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him a way out (3) And will provide for him from where he does not expect. وَمَنْ يَتَّقِ اللَّهَ يَجْعَلْ لَهُ مَخْرَجًا * وَيَرْزُقْهُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَحْتَسِبُ
[At-Talaq 65:2-3]
, he says that the Muslim in the present age must fall into some of the forbidden things, as if there is no obstacle, it is necessary.
The student: By Allah, the word.

The Shaykh: Instead of saying, my brother, as it came in the authentic hadith that
A time will come upon my Ummah in which whoever does not take riba will be affected by some of its dust. يأتي زمان على أمتي من لم يأخذ الربا أصابه شيء من غباره
, or as it came in the hadith, instead of mentioning that a person should be cautious as much as he is able to do so, and so on, he comes and says this. He says that the Muslim must not fall into the forbidden sins.
