What is the ruling on concealing the actions of a drug user?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
I know a man, but he has an elderly mother, children, and a wife. He uses narcotics in a terrible way, but he does not distribute them. So, O Shaykh, is it permissible for me to expose his situation? I have appealed to him and advised him, but he did not listen. Is it permissible for me to do so, and will these children, their mother, and his mother become victims of his absence from them? And who will provide for their maintenance?

Answer:
If his harm is only to himself, and he does not distribute them among people or sell them to people, and his harm is only to himself, then no, cover for him and advise him. The calamity is if he distributes them to people and harms people, even if he has children behind him. But if the harm is to himself... he uses them for himself, then do not expose his situation. However, continue advising and guiding him, perhaps Allah will guide him through your means.
