The ruling on one who says the closing salam after two rak'ahs while forgetting in a four-rak'ah prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
This questioner says: A person came before the imam said the closing salam in a four-rak'ah prayer, and after the salam he stood up and prayed two rak'ahs while forgetting. Does he pray two rak'ahs after that and prostrate for forgetfulness, or does he repeat the prayer for four rak'ahs?

Answer:
He completes it; he prays four rak'ahs and prostrates for forgetfulness if he remembers soon. He performs two rak'ahs to complete his prayer, then prostrates for forgetfulness. Prostrating for forgetfulness after the salam is better.

The presenter: May Allah reward you.
